INFA RIOT: London punk, 8th September

INFA RIOT were, without a doubt, one of the most representative bands of London sound in early 80s. Despite their short life (1979-1985), they are remembered as one of the pillars of the incipient scene thanks to 2 of their songs which were included in the classic compilation 'Strength Thru Oi1', together with Cock Sparrer, Toy Dolls o 4-Skins.

Once they were popular in the scene due to the good reputation of their shows and having the audience being familiar with their repertoire, they sign with Secret Records, who -asides of their first 7''- would release the album that has become a true essential: 'Still Out Of Order', where almost every song of the vynil became a classic. The band appeared in some other compilations and in 1984 they released 'Sound & Fury', under the name THE INFAS. Despite having some interesting songs, the change of the sound and the poor distribution of the album make the band go down and totally disappear in that same year. They only performed again in 1985, in Leeds.

After 26 years, the reunion of INFA RIOT is announced, for the Rebellion Festival (Blackpool). Good reviews make us bring them to Spain in one single date, at Estraperlo Club (Badalona), to sing along to 'The Winner', 'Kids Of The 80's','Bootboys', 'Drug Squad' or their cover of 'Emergency' by Girlschool.
