SKUNK ANANSIE: 'I Believed In You', first single off 'Black Traffic'

'I Believed In You' is the first single off 'Black Traffic', the upcoming studio album by the British band SKUNK ANANSIE.

With this new work, they relinquish their previous LP 'Wonderlustre''s success, and change the orientation of their compositions, which sound more modern and heavier, without losing the band's identity at all. The lyrics in this album are about sex and politics, in an open, straight way, and as committed as the own bandmembers' personal feelings.

"We've wanted to be charge of our own destiny for many years, the doom & gloom merchants may whine about the music industry but we've seen it as a positive chance to re-invent how we work and take more control over our art form. With our new album 'Black Traffic' and new label we are really excited with the future of skunk, this is my personal favorite as an album, even better than 'Wonderlustre' which spawned some great songs. We’re back and f**k me we're gonna enjoy every last minute of it!", Skin.

'Black Traffic' has been produced by the band itself and Chris Sheldon, who has worked as well with Foo Fighters, Biffy Cyro or Pixies. Mixing is by Jermy Wheatley and Adrian Bushby.

This album is an independent work, through the label of the band, Boogooyamma, with an special deal with earMUSIC. It will be released on 14th September 2012 and will be followed by a long tour which will start in Portugal and will come to Madrid and Barcelona soon.

This album will be released in different editions, very attractive for the fans: from a simple CD, to a limited edition with a DVD and media book. There will also be a vynil edition and a special boxset for collectors. The record will also be available for digital purchase.
