The walled city gets dressed in black and puts on the chains to receive the two great festivals we tell you about below:
LA MURALLA METÁLICA
The first metal festival of the city will hold the performances of a couple of bands from the area, GIROMAZO y TUVERÍAS SMITH, as well as some big names of the Spanish scene: VITA IMANA (working hard and getting deserved recognition), DÜNEDAIN (power/melodic heavy metal also from the province), ex-Mägo de Oz JOSÉ ANDREA and rap-rockers/ nu metallers DEF CON DOS. An excellent line-up for the first edition of this festival, by the way in aid of the association ASPAYM Castilla y León (association for people with spinal cord injury or big physical disabilities).
The event will take place on the 20th July at the Plaza de Toros in Ávila. Tickets cost 15€ in advance and 18€ at the box office, and they're available at:

MÚSICOS EN LA NATURALEZA
A new edition, the eighth, of this festival that has grown stronger year after year, and that on previous occassions had the pressence of great names in the music scene, both national and international (Sting, Bryan Adams, Bob Dylan, Miguel Ríos, Amaral...). This year Músicos en la Naturaleza is proud to present extraordinary headliners: DEEP PURPLE, whose line-up, after Jon Lord's passing, consists on Roger Glover, Ian Paice, Steve Morse y Don Airey. Besides, this will be their only show in Spain, so don't miss this so-called "Made In Gredos" (from the area in which it takes place).
To support them on this evening of music and nature, the artists chosen are one of the big personalities of Spanish rock, LOQUILLO, who will be presenting his album "La Nave de los Locos", within the "De Vez en Cuando y Para Siempre" Tour; and Bebe, with her album "Un Poquito de Rock and Roll".
