'Concerto', by genius JON LORD, to be released on 24th September

It's strange to announce something new about one of the biggest and more influent artists of all times rock music just few days after his passing.

It's also pleasant to know that a genius like JON LORD was giving each gram of his talent to his last and more ambitious project, just when the irreversible illness he suffered from was taking his last breaths.

'Concerto' is his famous 'Concert For Group And Orchestra' in a studio version, recorded by mythical Abbey Road Studio. In this work, we find collaborations from stars like Bruce Dickinson (Iron Maiden), Steve Morse (Deep Purple) or omnipresent Joe Bonamassa.

While he fought his serious illness, Jon finished masterising this album and approve its artwork. Last week he offered Classic Rock UK an interview which became his last in media.

Since he put so much care and affection on this work, his management, with the consent and generosity of his family, agreed the release of this album, through earMusic, on the 24th September.
