NIGHTWISH will release a DVD/Blue-ray from their upcoming concert at metal's mecca, German festival Wacken Open Air. It will be released later this year with a vast documentary.
As you know, Anette Olzon parted ways with Nightwish some months ago, and to accomplish "Imaginaerum"'s agenda, the Finns relied on Floor Jansen's incredible voice for their touring and performances since the previous singer left.
In Spain we weren't lucky to have any date of this amazing tour. However, if you, like us, have missed the shows, now we have a chance to make up for it somewhat. Just two hours ago, this could be read on Nightwish's Facebook page:
"The time has come soon to wrap up the magical & memorable one-and-a-half year `Imaginaerum World Tour´ 2012-2013! We still have three shows left, one of them being at the legendary Wacken Open Air Metal Festival on the 3rd of August. This show will be something extra special, since it will be released later this year on DvD/Blu-ray, together with a massive `Imaginaerum World Tour´ 2012-2013 documentary. Our darling flying Dutchwoman, Floor Jansen, has been nothing but incredible during her time in Nightwish on this tour, so this is a perfect opportunity to immortalize the current vibe of the band on film!"
