JEFF SCOTT SOTO is one of the more versatile singers that exists, capable of singing heavy metal, funk, AOR and pop. He started his professional career in 1984 at the age of 18, with Yngwie Malmsteen in Rising Force and hasn't stopped ever since: he founded Talisman, did lead vocals in the fiction band Steel Dragon, from the film Rockstar (and sings the rest of the songs of the soundtrack, which became very popular among hard rock fans all over the world), and then again in 2004 formed a new super-group with Neal Schon (Journey), Virgil Donati and Marco Mendoza called Soul Sirkus, with whom he recorded one album in 2005.
Before 2005 he had already recorded three albums of his own, "Love Parade", "Prism" and "Love in the translation". Thanks to his friendship with Neal, he was invited to be Journey's new singer between 2006-07, and after this he started working with the Trans-Siberian Orchestra (and he keeps touring with them yearly). In 2008, JSS edited his fourth solo album, "Beautiful Mess", with a new line up: Jorge Salán, guitar; Fernando Mainer, bass (both of this musicians, Spanish); Brazilian Edu Cominato, drums; and BJ keyboards.
In 2009 Jeff collaborated with two popular Swedish musicians in a new project called W.E.T. (the album was most welcomed both by media and public), and that same year he edited his second DVD, titled "Una noche en Madrid". Two years later he did another tour with the Trans-Siberian Orchestra and finsihed the recordings for his fifth solo album, "Damage Control", edited in March 2012, via Frontiers Records. He did a North American tour in the summer 2012 and is finishing his European tour these days, coming tomorrow to Spain for the last dates.
Jeff will be touring with the line-up mentioned above, with a little change: Jorge Salán (Guitar), David Z (Bass), ‘BJ’ (Guitar/Keys and vocals) and Edu Cominato (Drums/Vocals). He will be showcasing his current solo album; ‘Damage Control’ as well as tracks from across his solo and front-man roles right across his outstanding career.
